Leah van der Werff is a three-time Emmy-nominated producer and director based in New York City. Her work focuses on human stories at the intersection of technology, culture, and investigation. She has produced acclaimed documentaries and series for Netflix, Disney+, and HBO, as well as breaking and weekly news for ABC News, translating complex subjects into compelling, human-driven narratives.

As a director, she creates short films and music videos that blend visual experimentation with emotional storytelling. She is currently developing a feature documentary and a web series while exploring how emerging technologies, including AI and animation, may shape the future of nonfiction storytelling.

When she's not behind the camera, she’s hunting down New York’s best food or on the trail with a camera.
